The Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL has officially released in the month of October 2019 and this time around there are quite a lot of improvements but not too many to make it a huge upgrade over the previous one.

What is new for the Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL?

The nice thing is that you have a radar-powered face unlock and dual rear cameras, all combined with a 90Hz display. The 90Hz revolution is becoming quite the experience in most phones right now, and that’s amazing to have to be honest.

Being able to access all those features and benefits is very impressive and it really goes to show just how much value and quality phones can bring right now.

The Google Pixel 4 is unofficially ৳68,500 for the 64GB version and ৳76,500 in case you need the Pixel 4 XL version. You can upgrade any of the phones to 128GB if you pay ৳8,500 more.

The Pixel 4 XL is a bit larger and heavier than the regular version. The Pixel 4 XL is 6.3 by 2.9 inches and the regular one is 5.7 by 2.7 inches. Both phones have a 0.3-inch depth, which is actually very good.

Google Pixel 4 has the FHD display and 444-pixel density, and the Pixel 4 XL comes with QHD and 537-pixel density. This is pretty impressive in its own right, and you will find it quite helpful to have the QHD instead of full HD.

New design

Battery life is a bit lackluster with the Google Pixel 4 as it has a 2800 mAh battery, and the Pixel 4 XL has 3700. Considering that many larger phones have 4000 mAh or so, having less than that seems lower than expected.

That being said, the square camera element is a new feature on these units and the notch was removed too. Another thing to note is that the aluminum band looks amazing and the square camera element does a very good job with all of this.

Both phones also have IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, they share the same Snapdragon 855 processor and 6GB of RAM as well as wireless charging.

So the Google Pixel 4 XL is basically just a larger unit, without anything major to really make it stand out. And you have to understand that, the Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL are not really the most exciting phones. They are all about functionality here, and they do that very well. But you can’t expect them to put all the other phones under the rug.

And that’s what both Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL tend to do. They are excellent phones, but aside from the new design and the camera, as well as the 90Hz display, there’s not a huge bump in specs or anything.

The lower capacity is a bit of a bummer, and it’s sad to not see very good battery life. In the end, though, they are both presentable and unique phones that you should check out.
